This is for use by schools in relevant documentation, posters and information packs to staff, volunteers, parents and pupils.

 

What to do if you are worried a child is being abused’ explains the basics of how to identify abuse and what to do with a concern.

 

Dealing with worries that a child is being abused’ explains the basics of responding to concerns and referring relevant cases to Children’s Safeguarding and Social Care.

 

Initial responses to allegations against, or concerns regarding, staff and volunteers’ explains the initial procedure to be followed whenever there is a concern or allegation that a member of staff or a volunteer has behaved in a way that has harmed a child, or may have harmed a child; possibly committed a criminal offence against or related to a child; or behaved towards a child or children in a way that indicates s/he is unsuitable to work with children.

 

Brief Guidance and Example Agreement’ provides model agreements for activities conducted on behalf of schools or on school premises but not directly managed by schools.
